Ashley Rakahuri Regional Park

The new Ashley Rakahuri Regional Park includes the Ashley Riverbed, stopbanks and estuary. The park is managed by Environment Canterbury.

• 4km Rakahuri Trail (walk/run/cycle)
• 0.9km Mike Kean Walkway

How to get there

Access the park from River Road, Cones Road, or East Belt, Rangiora.

The basics

• Entrance fee: no fees.
• Pets: pets are permitted.
• Vehicles: prohibited from riverbed August - February to protect nesting birds. Prohibited from estuary.
• Overnight camping is prohibited.
