Honora Waharoa Saddle is one of my favourite places. We often camp here when doing our track work. Recently we went up through the scrub to One Shot Hill from there. It took 50 minutes and is only recommended for the stoic. At the summit there were signs a hunter had camped there - half burnt rubbish and bits of deer limbs (not nice). There's water at the summit too. Very nice when you get above the scrub zone. We also descended from the saddle down to Pfeiffer Stream. It's not bad as we descended via a little streamlet. Still involves a bit of scrub bashing and some greasy stream travel once you get to Pfeiffer.
