This hut was a couple of hundred metres to the south of the current hut. It was replaced in 1982 having being badly damaged during the deer wars by gelignite in an attempt to intimidate the meat hunters who were using it as a base. This shot shows the hut in its patched up state a couple of months before it was demolished. I've got pics of the current hut but they are rather dark so could someone else post a good quality recent shot please.
