Shotover Saddle

Shotover Saddle

When we crossed a bridge near to the mouth of the Shotover river just near Queenstown i reminded Kathryn we had been on Shotover Saddle the very same morning. The saddle is at the head of Tyndall stream which meets the flow from Tummel Burn to form the Shotover river.

  • aardvark aardvark Pleased it was calm however that shadow was literally following Kathryn as she was walking up the slope. The sun was going down on our arrival and it left little time to enjoy the atmosphere.

  • Honora Honora Nice to see what it looks like in fine wx. I recall sheltering in the lee of the saddle working up the courage to cross into the teeth of a very savage gale.
