You can see from here why it's called Lagoon saddle. It's part of the Cass-Lagoon saddle walk and Mt.Bruce is a side trip from the saddle already at about 1100m. I have ascended the 1000m from Cora-Lynn station to enjoy a lunch on the summit with views of the Southern Alps.
