At Hellfire Pass you are actually standing ontop of a sand dune 220 metres tall stretching a kilometer inland. This is looking down the dune. If youhave nice evening and a couple of hours to kill upon reaching Hellfire hut its well worth leaving your boots behind and going down to the beach. Takes about 20 minutes to get down the dune and 30-40 minutes to get back up.
