Haupiri Range Traverse, Kahurangi
Starting at Ward-Holmes Road, 12km from Takaka, climb up the track to Parapara Peak. Allow 4-5 days to traverse the remote Haupiri Range to Boulder Lake Hut. From there, follow the standard 22km track out to James Road, Bainham. Total: 53km, 40 hours.
