This photo shows a large expanse of Westland back country and some peaks on the Canterbury side of the main divide. Near the divide the panorama stretches from the Taipo - Waimakariri headwaters down to beyond Mts Cook & Tasman.

Of the two obvious saddles that can be seen there are Hura Saddle left and Newton Saddle right. Just out of shot to the extreme right is Dunn Saddle. Browning Pass can't be seen as it is obscured but you can see where it would be.
