Death Valley is an offshoot of Kay Creek and makes an interesting and straight forward alternative to a crossing from Scott Creek to Kay Creek or vise versa.

This lake isn't shown on the topomap but is the northern source of Kay Creek. By traversing around it's northern side (on the snow) you can then sidle up on the scree to reach a gap up through the bluffs (underneath the left most shadow section of rock in the top right corner of the photo) which takes you to the top.
