Located on the Upukerora river, Army hut is an old deer hunters hut still in use today. Can be reached in about 10 hours from Boyd Creek and 9 hours from Kiwi Burn hut (both following old un-maintained routes which differ greatly from the map... a GPS is very helpful) or about 3 hours from the road end at Takaro Lodge.
