Mt Hopeless 2278m Nov 2012
This picture of Mt Hopeless 2278m was taken on a perfect morning from a knob above the Cupola Basin hut.
I've now discovered why this area is so highly rated. It was well worth getting away from my beloved Westland for a few days & having a look at the Travers River basins.

Ancient Tramper The whole Nelson/Tasman/Kahurangi area has a great range of tracks, and numerous well spaced huts, which we Cantabrians get to see all too seldom. Access to the more remote roadends can be a hassle, but there are options available. Great pics, well done.
