a couple of years ago,we camped at 1200m above the South Face of Mt Somers.Stunning light evening & morning,before we tootled over to the tarns & the stone ruins,& dropping downto Woolshed Creek Hut via the Bustop.The plateaux centred on these tarns are an interesting mix of boulder-fields,tall tussock,falcon,bivvy-rock & views to Africa.
