From this point our plan was to walk down across the tussock and pick up the track at the bushline and follow the track down to the Borland road. But the cloud rolled in and we became reliant on the GPS to help us find the track. After about an hour of scouting around the bushline in thick cloud with no sign of the track, we came to the conclusion that the track was probably marked in the wrong place on the map. So then we headed down through the bush with the plan of either intercepting the track or making it all the way to the road. By now we had wasted so much time that we ran out of daylight and were forced to camp for the night. We were fully equipped for camping and had a comfortable night.

Next morning the sun shone and we intercepted the track about 3 minutes from where we had camped.
