This pic looks westward from Mt Pfeifer during autumn conditions prior to the May snowfalls.
Mt Pfeifer is an easy scramble from Pfeifer biv. Once on top there are great views in all directions. It is well worth climbing on a clear day.

Honora Best route up there via Paratu Stream to Waharoa Saddle, then a track cut up the spur though the omnipresent scrub band. I've got a jpg of the descent route via the scree NE of Pfeifer biv on this site.
