The first hut up the Waiau Valley from White's Clearing. DOC has done a great job of sprucing up this hut. It has a veranda, is reclad with plastic sky window and is painted orange. It's still got the 'historic look' inside with an open fire. There were only 4 mattresses when I visited..someone must have knicked the others!
