Standard 6 Bunk DOC hut by Tiraumea River - located in a large clearing about 1.5 hrs from Tiraumea Saddle, 2 Hours from D'urville Valley, 4-5 Hours from Roadend. Does not get a great deal of use apart from a few hunters and tramper onroute to D'urville or Lake Rotoroa. Track down Tiraumea river to roadend be prepared for wet feet - I think I counted crossing the river 47 times. Track Markers often difficult to spot particularly at some River crossings and on some of the larger clearings.
