Went for a tramp up the Mahaukura Track was an awesome climb.

bigpaul Doesn't look that way just the removal of a useful lean-to this hut could do with a fire it does get quite cold mid winter

pmcke The lean to was good! It'd be very crowded in the hut without that. I presume they have made the hut bigger to compensate.

Briar Wow! It's changed a lot in the last 12 months. The lean-to has been removed and the deck extended with extra seating. I suppose the lean-to was considered unnecessary anymore due to the new camping shelter.
