It was a wet and slippery tramp to the Hurunui Hut and back.We did it as a day trip but the quaint little 4 berth hut looks as if an over nighter may be fun. Henderson's track is in the Kaimais off Hightway 29. It is sign posted on the road and the track is well marked. It connects to the North/South track and can become a multi day tramp if one is so inclined. This part of the track gets slippery in wet weather and the stream crossings make for wet feet.If you remember to pack your sense of humour a great time can be had. Allow apporx 3hours from the road to the hut.
