This pic is of Saltwater Lagoon which is west of Hari Hari in South Westland. It lies south of the Poerua River mouth and north of the Whataroa River mouth.

It is a fairly easy walk to the lagoon which doesn't get visited often except by locals. You can get to the inland edge of the lagoon from an old "Forestry" road which runs through Saltwater Forest. The coastal edge of the lagoon is usually accessed from the mouth of the Poerua River by heading south down the beach. The mouth of the Poerua is accessed down the Poerua valley or by heading south from the mouth of the Wanganui River.
