Horseshoe Flat Hut is located on the T R of the Moeraki River. (NB. Locals often call this the Blue River) The other huts in the catchment are Blowfly (Blue River) hut which is 2 - 2.5 hrs downstream and Middle Head hut which is 1.25 hrs upstream.
