Ikawetea Forks Hut. A remote 6-bunk hut in the northern Ruahines on Apias Creek. Interesting creek travel upriver, and diverse wildlife resulting in an extensive DoC trapping regime in the area. Easy access from Ruahine Corner Hut, rough tracks No Mans roadend or the main range.

bmackz Good route out of the hut up the long easy ridge to the south. No track but bush very open and easy travel. Am I right in thinking this is one of the few huts built with the giant mechano?
