Almer hut is an old DoC hut, recently restored. Has 10 bunks, including 6 bunks in the "ladies room". Can be accessed by walking in via the Goat track but most people fly from Franz. Often used for ski touring. Gorgeous wee place, stunning location. Was the first hut in Westland national Park to be built from airlifted materials.
