Close to the "New" Julia hut near the confluence of Julia & Mary Creeks where they join to form the Taipo River. This hut is still there or was late in 2009. I'm uncertain if it's on the removal list or if it is to be maintained as an "historic hut" by DOC. I spent a bit of time at this hut back in the early/mid 1970's and it had a big porch back then that has since been removed. [This photo was taken by tramping mate JH]
