The track not far from Pinnacles Hut after a few hours of slippery logs and bogs.

Grayscale Yeah it's not much fun and can take quite a while. The track is littered with old log rounds, presumably to make crossing the boggy bits easier, but I can't recall finding one that I didn't slip off and into the bogs anyway. I've been over it twice now and it's one of the most frustrating walks I've done. But if you don't mind mud and having to watch where you put your feet, then go for it.
