A sound old NZFS hut in need of a bit of TLC. The scrub badly needed cutting back last time I visited. This hut is just across the river from the well used track to Goat Pass (part of the Coast to Coast race) but not a lot of people make the short detour to visit the hut. The other Deception hut that was down river on the TL below Gorge Ck has gone.
