Ruth Flat Bivy
Found at the North End of Ruth Flat this bivy provides easy accomodation for those not wanting to carry on down to the main Ruth Flats a further hours walk away, although it is rather open to the South. Located at BZ11 709823 its about 50m from the East Matukituki.

Yarmoss Hey, to be honest I pulled those coordinates off the DoC website article for the Rabbit Pass crossing. I always check DoC's site for length-of-track information (they didnt have that) but noticed they had marked this bivys grid reference. I used to understand Easting and Northings but have long since forgotten it, so I stick with grid references, sorry.

Honora Oh, I did it myself from the site and I got 44 20 16.500 S 168 52 18.400
N5643994.1, E2180921.1
but just sussing it from the MapData map it was more accurate!
