Somer Camp

Somer Camp

a june camp at 1200m on a bench overlooking the South Face track,on Mt Somers. The shadow of Mt Somers shows up behind the sun-drenched tent. Some of Mt Somers` tarns were only a few stone throws away,as is the stone ruins, variously promoted as a stone hut or a stone sheltering wall.I believe there were good intentions, but these were stunted through lack of time or suitable rock.Meanwhile, our wee tent more than sufficed.
