Lovely hut, even has a letterbox which has been known to contain the odd packet of pineapple lumps.

blairewington This is a fantastic place. Walked from Lake Monowai to Green Lake (old A-frame hut) in the early 90's. Great views across Green Lake to a snow covered Cleghearn Peak. The track from Green Lake to Island Lake then out to Borland Road is much easier than the walk in from Monowai. The slog back along the Borland Road to Lake Monowai is long but the views from Borland Saddle are well worth it.
