NZ Pipit (Pihoihoi)

NZ Pipit (Pihoihoi)

A common sight west of the southern Alps. This guy was seen at 1300m on the Kelly Range just west of Arthurs Pass. An average of 19cm and 40g. Usually grey with the characteristic white eyebrow. They are bold and unafraid of humans, love to bathe and feed on insects and invertebrates.
