• bushtrekker Thats awful! Have been visiting this old hut for years, with a visit long overdue.Was first inspired to tramp in the Kaimanawas, after meeting the wife of the old Mr Stanfield who originally built it.Terrific family - there were 19 children.Looks like this piece of history wont be around for much longer.One of my favourite places.
