Brocken Spectre
Just north of Tararua Peaks, the track goes up the ridge on the left. This is what happens when you look down on water droplets, with the sun behind. My shadow is at the apex of the triangle.

lewshaw Good on ya.I`ve heard of this phenomonon & even talked to a glider pilot who experienced one,but until your photo.,not seen it.
At 6o moons,I`ve got a few years on the hill yet,so I live in hope.
