A DOC hut near the end of the Five Mile Track in the Orongorongos in the Rimutaka Forest Park, Raukawa Lodge boasts a wood burner with wet-back to heat the shower, flush toilet and mattresses for 18. Sole occupancy for $135 (2009). An easy 2 hour hike makes it a great trip for children.
