Very hard to find if you are coming from Martins Bay. The whole area between the sand dunes at Big Bay and the Awarua River is a mass of Manuka and mixed scrub. Theres a dozen or so Whitebaiting shacks and bachs/cribs with trails going all over the place. Linz map D39 is woefully inaccurate. You need to look for the fishing bouy on a pole at the sanddunes then head inland past a bach to find it. The windsock at the beach is a good couple hundred metres too far North of here. Took me a good hour to find this hut!
