With daypack we dashed around the Cass-Lagoon saddles walk with only about 8 hrs walking time. A little rain fell as we approached Lagoon saddle. Great to get all the way without seeing anyone on the trail or in the huts. Traversing the northern side of Mt.Bruce down to Cora Lynn station was deceptively wet and muddy. Had hitchhiked 10k back from Cora Lynn the afternoon before whilst Kathryn set up a bivvy at Cass river.
