My great-great-grandfather herded 400 sheep & cattle here on the Tablelands from 1875 til 1920, once he obtained the grazing lease. (He couldn't, until the goldfields here ceased to be productive.) He then drove 1,200 romney ewes over into the Cobb Valley, and even to Lake Stanley area.
