Te Pukeohikarua Hut is located about 22 kms (14 hours) North West of Kaweka Roadend at Makahu Saddle. It is a 6-bunk hut with drinking water available from Omarukokere Stream.

Dztramping The verandah is roomy and pleasant. DoC also works on a new site for Ballard Hut.

pmcke I don't recall there being a verandah on that hut. But it is a few years since I have been there. Is the verandah new?
