Eyre Mountains/Taka Rā Haka Conservation Park
The Eyre Mountains lie southeast of the Mavora Lakes, and include the highest Southland peask outside of Fiordland (Eyre Peak at 1969m and Jane Peak at 2022m).
The park is relatively undeveloped, with a few older tracks and huts inland from Five Rivers. Climbs of Jane and Eyre Peaks are also possible.
