Auckland

New Zealand's largest city is actually a conurbation of 4 cities and several districts.

It is located in the north of the North Island, partly on an isthmus between the Manukau Harbour on the Tasman Sea in the west and the Waitemata Harbour on the Pacific Ocean in the east. The city lies on top of the Auckland Volcanic Field, with around 50 small vents forming the majority of hills and islands in the area.
