Kakepuku Mountain Historic Reserve
A reserve covering the extinct volcanic cone of Kakepuku, 8km southwest of Te Awamutu. The reserve incorporates two pa sites, while a further two lie outside its borders.
The reserve is a focus of local community work, with management of possum, rat, and goat populations. North Island robins have been introduced to the reserve, and are breeding there.
