Ridge Glacier from the Rutherford Pass. This is a tough, unmarked alpine route from the Cass to the Murchinson Valley. Liebig Hut lies below the pass in the Murchinson. A private track leads down the Cass, past Memorial Hut to the roadend. Alternatively the Rankin Pass leads onwards into the Godley.
