Maud Hut July 2019

This picturesque hut and an associated out building are now derelict. Maud Hut is a relic of depression era goldmining and is situated in the Maud Valley a part of the Howard Goldfield in the Upper Buller area.
Access can be up the valley via a 4x4 track with quite a few stream crossings which most people walk. There is a signposted and marked easement through private land from the Howard to give access to conservation land up the Maud valley.
