Torivi This hut was full of mice / rats. I'm not sure if this is normal for NZ huts, this was my first sleep in a hut, but I found it a bit uncomfortable with so many mice running around, runing on the bed, sniffing at my feet (probably smelled of cheese!) and I wished I'd brought my enclosed, rat-free tent to sleep in instead of spending the night waking to fears of rats in my hair!
