Leaving Mt.Browns Tops
A good stretch of the legs. Everyone else we saw on this walk and there were a few, was staying at the hut overnight. It seems this one may be promoted to some tourists in Hokitika. As a strenuous one no doubt. It is still over a 1000m climb. We have already descended the southern side by 150m or so toward the Styx river below.
glennj I can see Mt Brown and the Browning Range tops from home and this morning all the rock, tussock, scrub and higher bush is blanketed in snow. Mind you it is now late winter. I know the Styx-Mt Brown route well.
