This circuit visits the summits of both Mount Riley (1311m) and Mount Sunday (1301m). There are small patches of open tops around the summits, affording views of the Wairau Plains.
From Northbank Road, drive up Onamalutu Road and turn off at the campsite onto Briggs and then Davies Road. These forestry roads may be closed at any time due to fire hazard. Check road status here.
From the car park take the track in either direction along ridges either side of a stream catchment. Mounts Sunday and Riley lie at the head of the catchment, with Mount Sunday Biv just east of Mount Sunday summit.
