Trig V Track

This short walk follows the ridge above Governors Bay, offering good views of both Lyttelton Harbour and the Port Hills. Combine it with the wide and easy Crater Rim Walkway to form a 30 minute loop.

Head south along the Summit Road, past Worsleys Road. Look for the Hoon Hay Reserve car park on the left shortly afterward.

From here, take the track to a stile. The Crater Rim Walkway heads off to the right, while Faulkners Track sets off straight ahead. The Trig V Track is over the stile and up to the right. It climbs easily up throug gorse, out onto a rocky summit with views down into Governors Bay. The track wanders down through harakeke to meet up with the Crater Rim Walkway.
