The Totara Trail is a short walk in Kennedys Bush, off Christchurch's Summit Road. Parking is available at the Sign of the Bellbird shelter, where toilets are also located.
The Totara Trail is walked in combination with the Orongomai Trail. From the shelter, take the marked track down and to the right, into forest. The track sets off on the left at a marked junction. The track descends gently past a tÅtara tree and a rocky outcrop, soon joining the Orongomai Trail. Follow the Orongomai Trail back up to the shelter.
