Awaroa/Godley Head Campsite
New campsite located at the mouth of Lyttelton Harbour, next to a WWII defence battery installation.
From the campsite, several old buildings and underground chambers can be explored. Tracks also lead to Taylor's Mistake and along the Summit Road.
This is the closest DOC campsite to Christchurch, 40 minutes from the central city.
The access road is narrow. The campsite is exposed to wind.
