This photo has been posted to illustrate the article to which it is linked about travelling between Mt Owen or Sanctuary Basin (Granity Pass Hut) and the upper Fyfe River (Branch Creek Hut).

In this pic the aspect is looking eastward from the ridge running NNW from Replica Hill north of Mt Owen across the head of Nuggety Creek to the saddle south of Point 1552 metres. This saddle leads to Santuary Basin and the Granity Pass - Mt Owen track. This is one of several viable routes between Branch Creek Hut and Granity Pass Hut. If wanting to summit Mt Owen from Branch Creek Hut it is quicker not to go through the saddle but to continue up the ridge toward Replica Hill and sidle under it to the NE and thus hit the Granity Pass - Mt Owen track closer to the Mt Owen summit.
