Use this track to make a straightforward loop from the Sign of the Kiwi or as an alternative on the Crater Rim Walkway.
From the car park, the track drops quickly downhill before sidling above Dyers Pass Road through regenerating native scrub. As you loop back toward the road, pass through some taller mahoe and fuchsia.
Loop back along the Crater Rim Walkway if you like.
