Ruapane Trig Pirongia
A drive up Corcoran road brings to the Tirohanga track up to Ruapane trig about a 1 hour tramp.

glennj Whilst staying in Hamilton I went up past this trig in Jan 2014 as part of a loop walk to the top of Pirongia from Grey Road. What caught my attention as a West Coaster was how much use the area gets compared with down here. I counted 19 other individuals/parties met during the day whereas down here you often don't meet another soul if climbing a hill.
